Women are under represented, and social media ‘bubbles’ are part of the problem.

We came up of the idea of an algorithm powered tweeter plugin that analyses your Twitter following list, show you the percentages of female vs male based on who you follow, and makes suggestions for a more gender-balanced feed. Built in a week and went live.

Launched live at the Women of Silicon Roundabout conference, an event dedicated to amplifying female voices in tech, the plugin-cum-social-initiative exploded - 17,000 from 45 countries visited the website and over 1,800 people shared their results in 3 days, including major players like Cindy Gallop.
